Update on HighTide Walthamstow 2019
We’re very disappointed that mid-way through planning the third HighTide Festival Walthamstow, a high-profile annual event that helped secure Waltham Forest’s place as the first London Borough of Culture, the Council reneged on its commission, effectively forcing HighTide to cancel the 2019 Festival, scheduled to take place this September.
Our concern is supporting all the artists who are now unable to perform, and preserving the legacy of the past two festivals, which involved hundreds of hours of input from local volunteers.
We’d like to thank the thousands of audience members who supported the festivals, the sponsors and funders, and we wish Waltham Forest Council all the best for the remainder of their London Borough of Culture programme.
