Approaching The 2nd Draft with Kelly Jones
You’ve finished your first draft, and you take a moment to celebrate. But then you ask, ‘what next?’ Whether you’re writing alone, working with a collaborator, or under commission, a play’s success on stage can often come down to the choices we make in re-drafting. Kelly Jones is here to help guide you through that process.
Who is this workshop for?
To engage fully with the session, you should have something written beforehand to bring along. This might be a full first-draft, or just a short scene. Other than that, the session is open to all experience-levels. Whether you’ve written loads of plays and are looking to refresh your skills, or you’re just starting out and need help making those important edits – this session is for you.
How will the session be run?
Following a short introduction from George, our Engagement Manager, Kelly will lead you through top tips and short exercises to help you re-draft your writing. If time, there will be opportunity to ask Kelly questions at the end of the session. You wil be invited to partake in writing during the session, so have whatever you need with you e.g. notebook, keyboard, tablet, Dictaphone.
How do I access the session?
