And the country can’t decide. So I must.

May 2010.  Two forty-somethings have lost an election.

The British public has not voted them into power.  Even after thirteen years.  Even following a huge financial crisis.  Even against Gordon Brown.

The British public has not voted them into power.  So they take it.

Nicked.  Politics you can dance to.

Nicked was performed at HighTide Festival 2011.

A short version of the play was conceived and performed at Theatre503 as part of Coalition in 2010.

Richard Marsh’s rhyming book and lyrics are on the button, Natalia Sheppard’s score brings the sound of “urban” music into the theatre, and Jason Langley conveys all of Clegg’s narcissistic naivety.
