The Last Woodwose

A rare Woodwose, or wild woman, has been captured in a local woodland. As old as the oldest trees, this mysterious being from British and European folklore has shape-shifted and eluded us for centuries. In a bid for freedom, she tells us the extraordinary story of her life and reveals the origin of the legendary Green Children.

Accompanied by traditional music played by Sylvia Hallett and featuring Diana Quick and Martin Bonger, the cast reads this evocative new play by the writer of Return of the Wildman summoning up an ancient force of nature.
