Chris Foxon is the producer of Papatango, a new writing company specialising in uncovering new playwrights and launching new careers. Papatango discoveries have gone on to win BAFTAs, Off West End and National Theatre Foundation Playwright awards, premiere in over a dozen countries, and receive commissions from the RSC, National Theatre, BBC, Hampstead Theatre and Out of Joint. In a freelance capacity Chris has produced new plays in the West End and Off West End, including at the Old Vic, Trafalgar Studios, Park Theatre and Oxford Playhouse, as well as transferring new work internationally. He is a supervisor on the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama‘s MA/MFA Writing for Stage and Screen course, and a visiting lecturer at the University of York.
