Jessie Maryon Davies
Musical Director and Composer
Jessie Maryon Davies is a pianist and composer whose work centres around community and collaboration. Jessie is the musical director of trans-inclusive, women’s pop choir Lips and co-founder of award-winning music charity Girls Rock London. In 2018, she was awarded The Unsung Hero award by Time Out recognising her achievements in building community through music. Recent composing commissions include There is a music for That for piano, voice, cello, flute and recorded voice commissioned by Troupe Ensemble and the Wigmore Hall; Under the Same Sky – for orchestra and chorus of the English National Opera featuring soloist Sarah-Jane Lewis; and Maple Tree for City of London Sinfonia’s interactive family concert series. She plays keys and synth in three-piece synth pop band Glorybox.
