Joanna Taylor
Joanna Taylor is a piano teacher, composer and playwright from Essex. Her micro-opera and large-scale graphic score I Just Wanna Be (at Center Parcs) was commissioned by the Royal Opera House and performed at King’s Cross Station, the Royal Opera House, and Wilderness Festival. She has worked with British Youth Music Theatre and Leeds College of Music to develop new musicals for young people, and works across musical theatre, contemporary art song, and opera. Her work explores community dynamics, social tension, and the politics of belonging, with a particular interest in the lives and voices of older women.
