Katie Trollope
Playwright
Katie Trollope is a Norwich-based writer and performer.
Her fascination with characters and her curiosity for places and human psychology motivate her work. Her theatre work focuses on bringing the complexities of the mind and the intricacies of relationships to life. Through her writing, she gives a voice to those that are often unheard. She enjoys uncovering the lives of forgotten women in history and bringing to light points of view that would otherwise be overlooked. As an up and coming performer, she has recently taken to writing to enhance her craft. She is an alumnus of the University of East Anglia where she received a First Class Honours Degree in Drama. Her written work has been performed in Norwich Castle and The UEA, and as an actor she has recently performed original scripts as part of The INK Festival and Edinburgh Fringe.
In between writing and performing she is currently freelancing as a Production Assistant for the BBC.
