Louis Catliff

Louis is a writer and documentary filmmaker. He likes to explore the extremes of human behaviour with a darkly comic edge. He’s had multiple plays staged at the Edinburgh Fringe including an original comedy musical called ‘Shellshock!’ that was shortlisted for a Scottish Arts Club Award.

He had a TV-pilot about climate activism shortlisted for the BBC Drama Room, a two-hander thriller Lionheart reached the final of the British Theatre playwriting competition and a radio monologue Arsehole produced as part of the Painkiller Podcast.

His new play Justine Stops Oil was developed on the Menagerie Young Writers programme in 2024 and is set for its London debut in September 2025.
