Saher Shah
Saher is a Writer, Actor and Poet. Her writing tends to champion stories from Muslim and Global Majority backgrounds, unapologetically incorporating different languages and cultures into scripts. Her debut play Vitamin D had a sold out run at Soho Theatre and Regional Tour earning a Standing Ovation Award and nomination for the Asian Media Awards. She is an alumna of the MFest and Soho writers labs, and the Rifco Associates programme. Saher has been awarded seed commissions by Kahani Arts and was part of the Shrill Voices writers residency at The Rosemary Brach Theatre. Her poetry has been showcased at the Bush Theatre and Stratford East. For screen, her submission for the BBC Writers open call was placed in the top 10% of all scripts received, and is currently developing a limited series with an indie production company as well as her first short film.
