Tia-Renee Mullings

Playwright

Tia-Renee Mullings is a South London-born and raised British-Caribbean writer and spoken word poet. She won the Mustapha Matura Award (2023) for her first play Little Angela Davis, which was also shortlisted for the Alfred Fagon Award. Her second play, A TO B (shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Playwriting) received two readings at the Royal Court Theatre before being presented as a Shedinburgh Original at the Edinburgh Fringe 2025. Her play Duppies was performed as part of the Royal Court Open Submissions Festival in 2026. As a poet, Tia-Renee has headlined CLiCK Poetry Festival and Zenith Poetry, and performed on BBC Radio London. She is an alum of the Royal Court’s Introductory writer’s group 2024 and is currently part of the Channel 4Screenwriting 2026 cohort. A TO B, which runs at Soho Theatre in June 2026, is her debut play.
