Eleanor Bron, star of stage and screen, in conversation with Terri Paddock.

Eleanor Bron is an English stage, film and television actress, author and well known voice on BBC’s The Archers who is often credited to having inspired the name of the Beatles’ number 1 pop hit song Eleanor Rigby.

Known for her role in 1965 Beatles film Help! as well as her roles in Alfie (1966), Bedazzled, Two for the Road (1967), and Peter Cook’s Establishment Club, we’re delighted to welcome Eleanor to talk about her illustrious career with novelist and founder of WhatsOnStage Terri Paddock.

Terri Paddock (@TerriPaddock) is a theatre commentator, event producer and content and social media strategist with 20 years’ experience.

She co-founded and ran WhatsOnStage.com from 1997 to December 2013, building it into the UK’s leading theatre website. During that time, first as editor and later as managing and editorial director, Terri launched the audience-voted WhatsOnStage Awards; the WhatsOnStage Outings; and the WhatsOnStage Theatre Club. More recently, Terri has also founded: ground-breaking musical theatre social media directory, www.stagefaves.com (@StageFaves); and, with fellow theatre commentator, Mark Shenton, independent theatre bloggers portal www.mytheatremates.com (@MyTheatreMates) and the Also Recognised Awards.

Terri has hosted launch events, conferences and awards ceremonies, and chaired hundreds of post-show Q&As with actors and creatives at all levels. Terri has worked as a freelance journalist – with myriad credits including the Evening Standard, Independent, Daily Express and The Times – and is regularly quoted in the national press on theatre matters.

She also now blogs at www.terripaddock.com and tweets @TerriPaddock.
