Academy Presentation

Supporting emerging playwrights is at the very core of everything that HighTide does. The HighTide Academy is our scheme for young writers aged between 18 and 25 who have a passion for writing and a strong interest in making a career of it. We invited 25 writers to join us for a two day workshop session in March, after which they will spend time writing a short play, of which a number will be presented as rehearsed readings at the Festival this year.

This is an exceptional opportunity to support young talent, and to see their work presented for what may be the very first time. Each short play is performed by a young company of actors made from members of the Chichester Youth Theatre, with whom we’re proud to be collaborating on this project.
