HighTide presents a rehearsed reading of Normal at HighTide Festival 2015.
Living in London and born to Nigerian parents; Sam is ‘done’. His inability to come to terms with childhood grief- compounded by detachment from his family and culture leaves him unable to cope with the dichotomy of wanting to belong, yet not knowing where. Painful memories resurface and startling realisations ensure as we join Sam on his journey to battle thoughts and feelings he’d rather not have.
Theresa Ikoko’s striking debut, Normal, explores family, relationships, grief, mental heath and reveals surprising truths.
