We’re proud to present a sharing of work-in-progress by writers from the East of England at the First Word Theatre Tent at the First Light Festival 18th June and as part of the New Wolsey Theatre’s Writers’ Week on Saturday 25th June Join us for a sneak peek at some of the new work that HighTide is developing, directed by Chloe France and HighTide Literary Associate, Sarah Jane Schostack.

Sadie Clark’s piece Starling explores Queer identity in rural communities, farming and climate anxiety. Luke Wright’s Letter From The Future, commissioned by HighTide, is a snapshot from twenty years’ time, as a son questions his father as to why he was brought into a world of Boris, Brexit and the global pandemic. Yaz Zadeh – HighTide Associate Artist – and Mary Malone present Two Figures – part movement, part new writing – in a new work-in-progress sharing exploring rituals, bacon and humanising trans bodies.
