Today we announced Inventing the Future, a festival of new work at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich in Suffolk, from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 October.
Inventing the Future is made up of two elements – a live programme of rehearsed readings, workshops and industry events for theatre makers in the East of England; and an online symposium in partnership with the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain (WGGB).
Focusing on the region’s artists, communities and industry, the festival poses the question: ‘What is the future of new theatre writing and how do we make that future with equality, generosity and joy?’
