2023 has been yet another year of heartbreaking conflict. HighTide is a writer-centred company and we’re saddened to see, as has always been the case across history, that writers and artists are often amongst those attacked during times of conflict. That’s because they speak up, tell the truth, offer uncompromising perspectives, and share hope.
If you’re looking for ways to support freedom of expression and offer solidarity for writers at risk, please look at PEN International‘s work. They have been campaigning on this cause since 1921 and offer a variety of actions you can take.
