Hannah Aria

Hannah Aria is a working class, neuro-divergent, mixed media Artist with a heart for social justice. As the creator of a troop of milk bottle elephants (Herd Community), Hannah embraces the beyond the box approach to life and has earned the title ‘Mother of Elephants’ aka ‘Elesie’. 

Hannah is also a Trustee for NPO Unlimited, championing disabled Artists. She is a ‘Mercury Creative’ (professional development programme, Mercury Theatre). In the last year, Hannah has secured funding from the British Council to develop live art with Estela Laponni, (Brazilian Performance Artist). Hannah has recently been awarded a ‘Developing Your Creative Practice’ grant from Arts Council England and is exploring play writing, improv theatre and neurodivergent creative perspectives in portraiture and performance. She will be undertaking a play writing course with Ink Festival this month and will then join the ‘Let Me Be’ cohort with Graeae Theatre Company in February 2022. Hannah is also learning BSL level 1.
