Kate Carr sometimes known by fellow birdwatchers as Little Owl is a retired teacher with a severe hearing loss and she accesses the theatre through captioning. Until Covid struck she hadn’t written anything for publication but she decided to write a diary early in the pandemic and had pieces of her writing accepted by Radio 4 and The British Museum, and another by The Mass Observation Project.
